You are cordially invited to the dance performance of the Greek Dance Group (with live music by the "Vorionisi" band), this coming Tuesday (January 29) at 7:30 at the Teviot Debating Hall (Teviot House, 2nd floor; venue map: http://www.ed.ac.uk/maps/central-area/teviot-row-house/).

The performance will be followed by an interactive session with our instructors, where the audience will have the chance to get a taste of Greek traditional dancing! So, do come along to both watch and join the fun!

Entrance is FREE, so make sure you invite all your friends!

The time has come for us to invite you, for yet another year, to dance with the University of Edinburgh's Greek Dance Group. This is the fourth year of opera! tion and the classes will -as always- be OPEN TO ALL, students or not, regardless of experience!

The classes will be held weekly during term times, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on Tuesdays at the Baird Room, Pleasance (click here for a map: http://www.ed.ac.uk/maps/central-area/the-pleasance). The first class will be on Tuesday the 9^th of October. We will have a beginners and an intermediate/advanced class during this time slot, so EVERYONE IS WELCOME!  

The Greek Dance Group has an e-mailing list which is used strictly for announcements regarding classes and events of the Dance Group. So, if you are interested in joining the group or you simply want to be informed about it’s activities, it’s essential to sign up to the e-mailing list, which can be done via the group's website at the following link: http://greekdance.org/index.php?section=manage_membership  

All dance classes are FREE throughout the year! There is only a very small registration fee (£5 students/£10 non-students) to cover a part of the operational costs. To make things even better, the above fee includes the membership for the Hellenic Society (£3) (membership in the society is a university requirement for anyone attending group classes), and also provides discounts for all other Hellenic Society events throughout the year.

The Greek Dance group will once again perform at the Student Festival! The performance is scheduled on Tuesday the 30th of January, at 7:30 p.m. in the Debating Hall of Teviot Student House (Bristo Square, Edinburgh).

The dancers will be accompanied by live music from the "VorioNisi" band!

After the performance, the audience will be invited to learn a simple Greek dance and get a taste of our weekly classes!

Entrance is free (as usual!) and everyone is welcome!

During the last couple of months we have experienced some technical problems with our service provider. This resulted in all communication through the website (feedback forms, registration forms etc.) and mail getting lost without our responsibility! We are very sorry about that and the trouble caused. We have now moved to a new host and the problem is solved for good!
