Music: The music has a tempo of 2/4. Counts:(1)2-(3)4 (5)-6 (7)8 (when danced in 8 steps) emphasizing on 1,3,5 and 7. It can be danced in 6 or 8 steps in a fast boucny fashion. There are many dancing figures in the fast vesrion as in the slow version as well. When it is danced in 6 steps the tempo of 2/4 is repeated 3 times, whereas when danced in 8 steps the tempo is repeated 4 times. Grip: The dancers form a straight line with arms extended at shoulder level.
BASIC STEPS
On (1) the right foot takes a big leap and steps on the toes towards the direction of the dance. On (2) the left foot leaps and steps on the toes, over and accross the right foot and along the direction of the dance. On (3) we repeat the step danced for count (1). On (4) the right foot bounces on the toes in place, while the left leg bends slightly and crosses over the right leg. [For steps (1) to (4) the trunk faces diagonally to the right]. On (5) the left leg, which is still suspended in the air, jumps to the left, opposite to the direction of the dance. On (6) the left foot bounces on the toes and in place, while the right leg bends slightly and simltanously crosses over the left leg. [On counts (5) and (6) the runk turns to face diagonally to the left].

Count(1): Right foot (RF) steps to the right in the direction of the circle (anticlockwise).
Count(2): left foot (LF) leaves the floor and crosses behind the right foot (in this position the right foot is exactly in front of the left foot)
Count (3): RF repeates the same step as in count 1
Count (4): LF kicks in the air
Count (5):LF steps to the left in the direction of the circle clockwise
Count (6): RF kicks in the air

Count(1): Smal jump in the air and landing on both feet shoulder width apart
Count(2): LF performs a small hop on the spot and at the same time RF kicks towards the left in front of the LF
Count(3 & 4): RF step jumps to the right while the LF crosses in front of the RF in double time (diplopatima=quick douple step)
Count (5&6): LF step jumps to the left while the RF crosses in front of the LF in double time (diplopatima=quick double step)
NOTE: All figures are very light on the feet executed in a vigorous and bouncy way.
