It is a fast, lively and bouncy dance with characteristic double steps and is danced by men and women in almost all of Central and Eastern Macedonia.
STEP ANALYSIS
1. Broken in two parts: in the first the right leg jumps and steps in the direction of the circle on the toes. In the second the left leg steps behind the right heel on the toes, while the right leg is raised above the ground in front. (Keep this position for a moment as slight pause before step 2). 2. On 2 (quick step) the right leg (found raised in front) steps in the direction of the dance on the toes (small step). 3. On 3 (quick step) the left leg crosses over the right and steps in the direction of the circle on the toes (small step). 4. Broken into two parts: in the first the right leg jumps and steps in the direction of the circle on the toes. In the second the left leg steps behind the right heel on the toes, while the right leg is raised about the ground in front. (Keep this position as a pause). 5. On 5 (quick step) the right leg (found raised in front) steps flat on the ground at a small distance, while the left leg is raised above the ground and brought next to ! the right. 6. On 6 (quick step) the left leg is raised and crossed over the right, slightly bent; while at the same time the right jumps in place. 7. Broken into two parts: in the first part the left leg (raised in front) jumps and steps in the opposite direction of the dance on the toes. In the second part the right leg steps on the toes behind the heel of the left leg, while the left leg is raised above the ground. (Keep this position as a pause). 8. On 8 (quick step) the left leg (raised in front) steps flat on the ground in the opposite direction of the dance at a small distance, while the right leg is raised form the ground and brought next to the left. 9. On 9 (quick step) the right leg is raised and crossed over the left leg slightly bent, while simultaneously the left leg jumps in place.
